There has always been going a debate who is more secure Windows, Linux or Mac. I was curious too so did a bit of search and found some interesting results. So without wasting much time let's go straight to facts.
-According to esecurityplanet.com in a post where they gave rating to
mac and linux considering security the parameter including features
such as who is more true to UNIX, who is more targeted, Obfuscation by
“GUI-ization” , patch practices and many more such things, Linux gets
more A's than Mac.

- A very popular and trusted website and magazine pcworld writes in a
post "5 things that linux does better than mac" and security is the
first thing among those five things.

- According to Financial Times, again a trusted newspaper published a
news that revealed that google said no to windows and insisted it's
employees to use Linux or Mac but no windows. Thus google considers it
safe to have any of them. And the tutorial videos they are posting now
considering google APIs at google I/O we see google engineers using
mac.

-There is a hacking contest called "pwn 2 own" (gagan must be knowing
about this). In this you have to hack a machine to own(win) it. and in
this contest (of 2008) the laptops that had windows and mac were
hacked but laptop that had linux was not. The macbook got pwned in
just 2 minutes. Don't dare to think that hackers dint want a linux
machine because the tries were made but failed. From 2009 the "pwn to
own" changed rules concentrated on browsers and mobile devices and
you can google for the results.
[OT] Only if you are curious to know, In 2012 Safari on Mac OS X Lion
was the only browser left standing at the conclusion of the zero day
portion of pwn2own where chrome, firefox, IE all got hacked.

-At a post in Information week, they explain security threats in Mac,
and also speak about security in Linux & about ubuntu.

And there are various such posts that include views from experts
around the world. For sure mac and linux are much more secure than
windows. In between mac and linux, linux seems to be winning. Having
said that today's hackers and my favorite Social Engineers don't
attack on operating systems they look for user behavior. In case of
social engineering attacks even most secured system can be compromised
because of an ignorant user.
